The afternoon in Antigua, Guatemala continues when we went to visit a park with a big beautiful church!

heres some pictures of:
friends of mine looking at my photos from christmas at home with my wonderful family and friends!
me and tiara in Antigua, Guatemala!

Here we've got some pictures of typical Guatemalan food, eggs sausage and beans, a picture from one of my bikerides down the street leaving my town, a picture with some kids in front of the El Chol christmas tree, a shot of my street in my town that leads to the park...

the picture are of two young girls selling cakes on the street.. sadly, there are many kids that start selling things on the street at a much younger age than this to help their families. It breaks my heart to see like 5 year olds walking around selling things on the street hustling when they should be playing with their friends like we used to.

the following pictures are of when i returned to El Chol and went to say hi to my next door neighbor, Suli. These are pictures of her home.

Then we've got classes of Salsa! my site mate, Devi, is teaching El Cholenses (including me!) Salsa!!!

The return from US to Guatemala!

So here we have a picture of the flights out of New York the evening that i returned to Guatemala... i thought that was pretty coool...
We got a picture from the airplane on the terrain of El Salvador.. had to stop by Hondurus and El Salvador first before Guate!
Then there are photos from guatemala on the bus ride back to my home in Santa Cruz El Chol, Baja Vera Paz!!!

The graffiti is all over San Juan Sacatepequez because they are protesting and fighting against a big cement company that wants to set up one of their plants on the land of San Juan. This will be horrible for the environment around the city and it will ruin the farms of which they have been cultivating flowers for decades... the graffiti says, "Yes to life" and "We fight until death"
